We had a group of enthusiastic children decide to come to Room Ten for Discovery. One of the activities was to choose an animal and make a habitat for it. As the children made their habitats, there were lots of discussions about what the animals would need. The habitats became more and more elaborate as they realised that they should include things such as shelter, food area, and space to move. The children were learning from each other as they went and when one child thought of something the others would then make adjustments to their habitats.
