Creative Writing - Evelyn



After reading, 'The Day the Crayons Quit,' Evelyn was inspired to write about red crayon's adventures for the day.

    What a great introduction! Thank you for sharing all the things that are red with us. What a marvellous book that is. I have read it too. I especially liked the picture of your loveheart sunglasses. Do you have any?

    Yes, I do have some love heart sunglasses. I got them when I was little and I still like to wear them.

    Hi Evelyn. The Day the Crayons Quit is one of my favourite books too! I try to use it every year in writing workshops. Have your read the second book The Day the Crayons Came Home? Great ideas for things that are coloured red. I wonder if you could write a story for a day in the life of your crayons?

    I love how you've introduced yourself Evelyn, and then followed it up with a great story about all of the things that the red crayon can draw! Is red your favourite colour?
