Swimming Week One

What a great first week of swimming at QEII. The children have been learning different swimming skills and ways to keep themselves safe in the water.

  1. Kia Ora Kākano Hub, we are Room 2 from Elgin School. We just had a look at your post and we think that it is cool that you are all learning how to swim and stay safe in the water. We go swimming every Thursday afternoon. We are lucky because we have our own indoor swimming pool with professional coaches. Our swimming coach is Koka Carol, she is great.
Have a neat day, from Room 2

    1. Kia Ora Room 2 at Elgin School. Thank you for commenting on our swimming post. We think you are all very lucky to have your own swimming pool at school!
Do you go swimming all year or just term 1?
Have a wonderful weekend, from Kākano Hub.

  2. Talofalava, we are room 3 at Tamaki Primary School. We live in Auckland. We are year 2. We like reading, writing, playing, working with numbers and painting in our classroom. We enjoy playing with toys and legos inside, colouring, playing with puzzles.
We also love to play on the playground and sand pit with our friends. We love playing soccer and running.

We have some questions we'd like to ask:
    Why were you swimming?
Do you love your teacher and your school?
How many people do you have in your class?
    Where is your school?
Do you live close to school or do you live far away?
    Who are in your family?

Ka kite, we hope to hear from you soon.

    1. Kia Ora room 3. We are Kākano Hub from St Francis of Assisi School. We live in Christchurch. We are a year 0-2 hub. In Kākano we have four home bases.
We went swimming at QEII pool for two weeks. We were learning about water safety and how to swim. We love Ms Clark, Mrs Shea, Mrs MacKay and Miss Bailey, we are so lucky we have 4 teachers! In Kākano Hub we have 65 children.

A question we have for you is
Do you go swimming as a class like we do?

      Have a great day, Kākano.
